Fortissimo! Serious Salve™ for Hardworking Hands and Feet is an extra-strength healing salve for all. It contains a high percentage of certified organic fair trade shea butter and Dragonfly's herbal healing oils, including organic calendula oil from our gardens that's made in the painstaking ‘good old way’ to yield a brilliant golden oil, rich in betacarotenes. St. John's Wort oil is also part of the formula, picked from our forests at peak, and carefully sun-cooked for the entire summer, to give a brilliant ruby-red oil laden with hypericum to ease inflammation and aid with tissue healing.

Use often to relieve conditions of dry eczema and psoriasis. In case of nasty  fissures (cracks) in heels and ends of fingers, slather the wound with Fortissimo!, and cover with a fabric bandage. Reapply salve and change bandage daily. Typical response is two days (or less) to heal cracks. Massage into feet before bed & wear cotton socks overnight; and for hands, a super (and virtuous) heat treatment, apply before pulling on rubber gloves, then wash the dishes... Excellent care for those in the health, beauty and daycare industries and others who need to wash hands frequently.

Scent Strength: this ointment was originally formulated for my Dad who was building a (log) tree house for Kate in the winter, and whose hands were a mess of chapped callouses and blisters. The scent is pleasantly orange, and not overwhelming.

Texture: ointment with zinc oxide, to provide moisture barrier; use sparingly for overall healing and moisturizing, and more thickly (with fabric bandaid covering) for specific issues such as cracks in the heels. Spreads easily.
