White kaolin clay: one of the gentlest clays in the world - kaolin clay has an incredible mineral composition, a neutral pH, and a high concentration of silica dioxide. As a gentle cleanser, kaolin removes impurities and dirt from the skin and hair without drying it out or causing any redness or irritation. Shampoo Usage: To create lather, rub bar directly onto scalp in small circular motions and run down hair shaft. The lather will increase as you start to massage hair and scalp. Rinse clean. Dry and style hair as usual. Click here to see how to use up the ends of your shampoo bar.

Conditioner Usage: Run bar over hair from nape of neck towards ends of hair. Circular motions may be required for longer hair to work the conditioner in more. Watch a video tutorial here. Massage into hair and leave in for 1-2 minutes. Rinse clean. Dry and style hair as usual. Click here to see what to do at the end of your conditioner bar.

When using as a shave bar, run the bar over your skin as you shave for a silky smooth glide.

For external use only. If contact with eyes occur, rinse thoroughly with clean water.

Care: It is very important to dry your bars out between use. Keep in a well ventilated area away from spraying water. For best results, store on a soap dish with drainage. If travelling, pat bars dry and allow to air dry completely for 1-2 hours before packing in travel tin. If you are storing your bars in a travel tin at home, keep the lid off for maximum airflow.

FAQ

Are your shampoo and conditioner bars sulphate-free? Silicone-free? Paraben-free? Phthalate-free? 

Although we don't advertise it, the answer is yes to all of those. The "clean/green/natural beauty" industry can be very polarizing and many of those ingredients have gained an undeserving bad reputation. We don't like to fear monger, so instead of focusing on what isn't in our products, we like to talk about what IS in them.

The sulphate-free cleansing ingredient in all of our shampoo bars is called sodium cocoyl isethionate. It is made from renewable coconut fatty acids and is fully biodegradable. It is commonly known as "Baby Foam" due to its exceptional mildness, light scent, and conditioning cleansing properties, making it gentle enough for use on even the most delicate baby skin. Sodium cocoyl isethionate exhibits high foaming ability, and produces a stable, rich and velvety lather that does not dehydrate the skin. This high-performance ingredient is equally effective in both hard and soft water.

Behentrimonium methosulfate, the active ingredient in our conditioner bars is silicone-free and derived from rapeseed oil. It binds to the hair shaft resulting in silky, smooth, lustrous hair that holds a style. If you are looking to stay away from silicone-based ingredients, they can usually be recognized by names ending in ‘cone' (ie. cyclomethicone, dimethicone, methicone).

We do not use synthetic fragrances meaning all of our products are phthalate-free. All of our bars contain natural essential oils in industry standard concentrations for both therapeutic benefits and a delicious scent. Like all natural ingredients, essential oils do contain allergens. Please read our ingredient lists before use if you have any sensitivities.
